Volunteer Information
Become one of the real rock stars at Carrollton's Festival at the Switchyard in Historic Downtown Carrollton. The tens of thousands of visitors at this free family-friendly event benefit from the service of volunteers throughout the day.
Open to ages 16 and older. Ages 14-15 will be accepted with adult supervision if they art part of a school, church, or Scout group.
Volunteer Duties
- Greeting Festival attendees
- Providing additional information and directions
- Passing out event programs
- Assisting with children's activities
- Other general duties as needed
Why Volunteer?

- Great parking spot close to the event site while volunteering (available on a first-come, first-served basis)
- Eligible for volunteer hours
Important Reminders
The volunteer application requires the following documents:
- A completed Volunteer Waiver Form, and
- One of the following, based on the applicant’s age:
- Age 18 and older: Must complete a Background Check Form
- Ages 14–17: Must submit a Minor Consent Form completed by a parent or guardian and notarized
If applicants do not have access to a Notary Public, contact the Festival team. The City of Carrollton offers free notary services at City Hall and both Carrollton Public Library locations by appointment.
