The City of Carrollton provides this free service to help you navigate the development process as stress-free as possible. This meeting will bring together the major departments to discuss your project, provide a cursory review and feedback as necessary. These meetings are typically held at the design phase to help eliminate significant re-design of sites and/or buildings.

These meetings are scheduled on Wednesdays and held via Microsoft Teams, or in-person at City Hall.  To have the most productive meeting, a preliminary site plan is required prior to scheduling the meeting. Additionally, the property owner/developer, architect and civil engineer should attend the meeting.

After the pre-development meeting, city staff may follow up with a letter summarizing the main topics/issues discussed at the meeting. You are encouraged to forward a copy of the comments to all parties involved with the proposed project. This will allow time to make any needed adjustments to meet local requirements, finalize construction plans and then make application for a building permit.
