Citizens' Evening TBA!

The Neighborhood Partnership Office is excited to continue its volunteer recognition program! Carrollton is grateful for the quality and quantity of volunteers we have, and we know that many of our important programs and services would not be possible without them.

This year we will be accepting nominations for two awards, the Neighborhood Leadership Award and the Outstanding Community Organization Award. Anyone can nominate a special neighborhood volunteer, team, non-profit or organization in the community, and if you know more than one, we invite you to submit multiple nominations.

Nominees must be residents of the City of Carrollton. Nominations MUST be made through the Neighborhood Partnership Office at

Neighborhood Leadership Award

Nominees must be 14 years of age or older and volunteer in a Carrollton Neighborhood for a minimum of one year.  Their efforts must have contributed outstanding service to their neighborhood. Examples of volunteer efforts could be beautification projects, outstanding board leadership and accountability, crime watch, and social events.

Outstanding  Community Organization Award 

Nominees should be an Organization/Team/ Non-Profit.  Group must be comprised of 3 or more members, may come from one or more organization, have pre-defined goals and service must  be in Carrollton or benefit Carrollton residents. Their efforts should display outstanding service contributed to the Carrollton Community in 2017. Examples of group volunteer efforts could be beautification projects, community events, or projects  that enhance the lives of Carrollton residents.

  1. Award selections are based on the nominee’s volunteer efforts and commitment of time, accomplishments, community impact and enhancement of the lives of others, as described on the nomination form.
  2. The Commission selects recipients of the Awards, based on the selection criteria.
  3. Recipients of the Awards are selected based on merit – without regard to race, religion, gender, national origin, or physical/mental disability.

All nominations must be submitted by 11:30 AM on Friday, December 14th.
