The contest is open to K–12 students who attend a public, private, or homeschool in Carrollton or reside within City limits.

Materials: 

• Artwork must be made entirely of recycled/reused materials. Do not purchase new materials for art piece. 
• Students can use glue, wire, tape, twine, string, or any other adhesive method to bind the art piece together. 
• Art materials such as paint, crayons, and markers, are acceptable. 
• Entries must be appropriate for all ages and may not promote a business, product, or political viewpoint.

Entries:

One original entry per student. Group projects are not allowed.

Themes:

A new theme is announced annually to guide the creative direction of entries.

Judging:

Two participating categories: K-5 and 6-12.  Winners in both categories are chosen by popular vote at the Earth Day Celebration and will receive a prize and recognition on City channels.
