The City of Carrollton is encouraging residents and community members to participate in the public comment period for the 2025 Dallas County Hazard Mitigation Action Plan Update.

The plan was developed in collaboration with Dallas County and the participating jurisdictions, including the City of Carrollton. The Plan aims to reduce the long-term risk to life and property from hazards such as flood, tornados, hail, and similar natural disaster events.

The draft Plan is available for review for public feedback until January 3, 2025.

The Hazard Mitigation Action Plan includes an assessment of potential natural hazards and mitigation goals and actions outlined for each participating jurisdiction.

The feedback received throughout the planning process and the draft Plan provides valuable input in reflecting the priorities of the community.

Comments can be submitted to Stevie-Ann O'Donnell, Mitigation Outreach Coordinator, with H2O Partners.
