The City of Carrollton requires a permit for all water wells that are drilled, repaired or plugged within the City.

How to Apply for a Private Water Well Permit

• Fill out the Private Water Well permit application (PDF).
• Two ways to submit application:
  1.  In Person to Carrollton City Hall (1945 E. Jackson Road)
  2. Email envservices@cityofcarrollton.com

Regulations for Water Wells

Water well requirements for the City of Carrollton are outlined in Chapters 156 and 176 of the Carrollton Code of Ordinances. Additional regulations are established by the State of Texas under Title 16, Texas Administrative Code, Chapter 76.
