Adopt-A-Spot is a quarterly community service project that invites individuals, families, businesses, and organizations to help maintain and beautify Carrollton by participating in a city-managed litter reduction program.
Eligible Participants and Locations
Businesses, organizations, or individuals may participate in Adopt-A-Spot. Locations are selected based on their need for litter control, as determined by the City of Carrollton. A list of available creeks and green spaces will be provided to interested participants.

Required Forms
The City Agrees to
- Identify high-need locations that would benefit the residents of Carrollton
- Provide and install signage once the Adopt-A-Spot agreement has been submitted and approved
- Determine the proper placement of signs consistent with City policies
- Feature the Adopt-A-Spot program and active groups on the City website
- Provide instructions and cleanup supplies for participants
- Remove and dispose of collected trash on the next business day following each scheduled cleanup
Participants Agree to
- Conduct cleanups at their adopted location at least quarterly (4x per year) for a minimum of 2 years (with the option to renew)
- Select a location from the authorized adoption list provided by the City
- Submit a completed Adopt-A-Spot Agreement and Consent/Liability Waivers for all participants before each scheduled cleanup
- Notify the City before each cleanup takes place
- Submit a progress report to the City after each cleanup
- Ensure that cleanup activities are conducted only within the assigned and approved location
