Online Training Class
Go to NFPA's Alternative Fuel Vehicles Training Program. Select and register for the class. Have one member of the crew login, or create an account on the NFPA website, to complete registration. Take the course and choose the "Fire/Rescue" edition. As a crew, complete the modules on Gaseous Filled Vehicles and Hybrids, but omit the Fuel Cell Vehicles module. It should take about 3 hours to complete. Log class in Firehouse using template AEA:HAZMAT.
Hose Handling Techniques
September 9th through 15th, Capt. Colleran and FF Ausmus, along with several other instructors, will be teaching more hose advancement techniques. Those of you who have already been to part 1, practice, practice, practice. Those of you who will be in be in the class for the first time, get ready for some fun! We had to squeeze in a practice PAT and real PAT on September 9th and 15th respectively. It will require one group to go to hose class in the afternoon, Sunday September 9th. My apologies to C-shift group 1.Log training into Firehouse using template AEA:WATER DELIVERY.
The rescue team will go to the Ft. Worth drill ground for a high-angle scenario, using their radio tower prop, on the 24th, 25th, and 26th.
