Purpose of Refresh

This project will turn part of the staff workspace into public space, so the Service Desk can be moved to the front where the New Books used to be located. The desk relocation will:

  • Move the Service Desk out of the traffic flow.
  • Provide  customers easier access to the Service Desk.
  • Improve visibility and sight lines.
  • Allow us to make better use of the existing public space.

Construction Phase

Construction to convert staff workspace to part of the public area by removing and modifying walls, rewiring, and installing new lighting was completed October 30, 2025.
