Eligibility

PressReader is always free to use on a Library computer or your own device using the Library's Wi-Fi network.

Access is available outside the Library for all cardholders with a valid, non-expired, Library card owing less than $10 except TexShare cardholders.

  1. Tap/click Sign In.

  2. Tap/click Libraries & Groups (Library or Group in web browser).

  3. Tap/click Select Library or Group (step not seen in web browser).

  4. You may see a request to allow PressReader to use your location. This is optional and will not affect your access.
  5. Start typing Carrollton into the search box then tap/click Carrollton Public Library when it appears.

  6. Tap/click Sign In button.

  7. Enter your Library credentials (card number and PIN/Password) when prompted
  8. You will see this pop-up indicating you have 29 days 23 hours of access left if there were no problems with your Library account.

  9. The cup icon on screen indicates that you are currently authenticated for access to magazines and newspapers.

  10. Tap/click the cup to see how many days are remaining before you must sign in again with your Library account information.

Signing in with your Library account information lets you:

  • Search or browse for publications, articles, or interests
  • Read and download magazines and newspapers
  • Listen to articles
  • Print articles
  • Translate articles

A PressReader account is required to share, bookmark, get notifications, and customize.

To create your PressReader account you must be signed in already with your Library card or using PressReader at the Library.
