You may still have your physical Carrollton Public Card, but your card number is not found in the system.
- Staff will search to see if you were issued a replacement card
- If still not found, then your account was deleted from the system due to inactivity for several years.
Your account being deleted means that your account was in good standing. You owed:
- No replacement fees for items not returned
- No borrowed materials still needing to be returned
If you are a resident of Carrollton:
Simply bring your old Library card to the Front Desk when you apply for a new card along with your photo ID and proof of address from this list if not current on ID, and staff will reinstate your account as a full service card.
For Children
Parents can apply for a library card for a child under 18. Parents are responsible for all materials checked out and money owed on the child's card.
- Child must be present during the application process.
- Parent must be present with proof of residency at the current home address.
- Parent must be present to renew card when it expires.
For Grandchildren
Only parents or legal guardians can sign up a minor child for a Library card.
Are you this child’s legal guardian? If not, grandparents or other caregivers are encouraged to sign up for a card for themselves and then check out items for use by the children in their care.
Renewing Expired Cards
