Teen Advisory Council - called TAC for short - is a group of teens that meets twice a month to help shape Carrollton Public Library services and materials for teens in the community.

Members collaborate with the Teen Librarian to:

  • Plan upcoming events
  • Steer decisions about book purchases
  • Determine the best ways for the Library to help local teens.

There are SO many great reasons why you should join the Carrollton Public Library's Teen Advisory Council!

    • Attending meetings
    • Helping to lead and promote teen programs
    • Evaluating teen Library books
  • Gain planning experience by helping design teen programs and take-home kits

  • Have a direct impact on the services and books provided to teens in the community
  • Help prepare for and host big teen Library events

Ready to join the Teen Advisory Council (TAC)?

  1. Apply to join the TAC on VolunteerMatch
    • August 16, 2021 - October 15, 2021
    • Free VolunteerMatch account required to apply
  2. Interview for TAC membership
    • Interviews will be scheduled in September and October 2021
  3. Accept an offer* to join the TAC for the City of Carrollton
    • *Depending on the number of applicants, there could be a waiting list
  4. Attend the TAC "welcome party"
    • December, 2021
  5. Get ready to start making a difference at twice a month meetings!
