The Museum & Historic Advisory Committee consists of 9 members appointed by City Council. The committee advises and makes recommendations to City Council regarding the preservation and protection of the City's architecturally and culturally significant resources for future generations.
The Planning Department provides staff support to this committee. The committee was established by Section 34.0 of the Carrollton Code of Ordinances.
Meeting Schedule
MHAC generally meets in January, March, May, July, September, and November at 6:00 p.m. on the second Wednesday at Crosby Recreation Center, 1610 E. Crosby Rd.
All meetings are open to the public, and MHAC welcomes interested visitors.

Historic Research Survey
- View Historic Resource Survey completed to establish a living document that can be updated as new information becomes available.

Unveiling of Boatwright House Designation Marker
- The Boatwright House, also known as the Vintage House or the Pink House, was officially recognized as the oldest standing structure in the City with a historical designation marker.

Historical Designation Cleanup
- Restoration efforts included cleaning markers, repainting deteriorated finishes, realigning markers, and bronzing older markers to support longevity and preservation.

Historical Designation Process: Parks and Recreation Ordinance, Chapter 133, Section 21 of the City Code of Ordinances
On May 6, 2003, City Council approved the Carrollton Heights Historic District zoning ordinance , which provides development regulations different from other residential districts.
