Polish your best pair of boots, and step out for our 3rd Annual TEXFest! This free event offers local craft beers, live music, delicious treats, photo ops with a live longhorn, and the chance to test your cowboy skills on our mechanical bull. Look forward to the sweet sounds of Grant Gilbert, the Jimmy Lee Jordan Band, and the Black Lillies, while you take in the charm of downtown Carrollton and celebrate Texas Independence Day!
3:00pm Grant Gilbert
When Grant Gilbert started playing music he had no intentions of performing live shows multiple times per week or it becoming a job, it was just a labor of love that grew into something he never planned. Every chance he had, he was slipping away to play guitar and sing. Whether in his room or an open mic, he wanted to do what he loved. Being raised in the small town of Santo, Texas it was natural that he would play country music.
5:15pm Jimmy Lee Jordan Band
Whether you’re a fan ready to blow off the work week and hit the town for a boot scootin’, rockin’ night or a venue ready to book a gig–The Jimmy Lee Jordan Band has you covered! Showcasing live music; as well as, comic relief with their popular skit (Redneck Fat Man), the JLJB has fans coming back and begging for more with their heart pounding performances on packed dance floors alike.
7:30pm The Black Lillies
The Black Lillies have never backed down from a challenge. Proudly independent since their formation, they are always pushing forward and evolving, letting the inspiration and music take focus. That drive has led them to become one of Americana's biggest success stories: an internationally-renowned band of roots-rockers, armed with songs that blur the boundaries between folk, soul, red dirt country, blues and rock.
