Planned improvements at the Elm Fork Nature Center will focus on providing better access for all visitors while enhancing the overall experience inside the facility. The project includes ADA accessibility improvements that will create a more welcoming and usable connection from the existing parking area to the Nature Center as well as a new decking to the exterior of the building, helping visitors of all abilities more easily access the building and surrounding nature-based amenities.
Inside the Nature Center, the project will refresh the visitor experience through updated interior design, interpretive displays, exhibit concepts, graphic design, and educational text. These improvements will help create a more engaging and informative space for visitors to learn about the Elm Fork Nature Preserve and the natural environment. Together, the accessibility and interior improvements will support a more inclusive, educational, and enjoyable experience for the community.
