In an effort to stand by our mission, to "provide innovative, diverse, and quality recreation and leisure opportunities for everyone, while preserving City Parks and natural resources." How do we keep participants safe?
  • Proactive planning and safety reviews.
  • All programs follow social distancing guidelines.
  • Established program activity and hygiene plans.
  • Equipment cleaning protocols.
  • Masks required when social distancing is not able to be done.
What is a program activity and hygiene plan?

Program activity and hygiene plans are in place for every program and activity offered. Carrollton Parks and Recreation takes this protocol very seriously and has established activity and hygiene plans in place for each service to proactively plan safety measures for participants.

What is included in a program activity and hygiene plan? 
  •  Maximum participants numbers.
  • Social distancing plan.
  • Spectator policy and procedures.
  • Instructor mask and/or glove requirements.
  • Scheduled time between classes to ensure safe exiting and entry.
  • Providing notice of the enhanced risks of participants being in direct contact with anyone age 65 or older for 14 days after participating in a program.
  • Contact tracing plan.
  • Established Service Safety Ambassador
  • Equipment sanitization protocols.
  • Personal Protective Equipment needed for each service.
  • Three-level staff review and approval process.
