Artist: Driftwood Dreamers
About: Formed by three musicians from diverse backgrounds, The Driftwood Dreamers united around a shared love of music and performance. Based in the Dallas area, they have come together at this stage of life simply to play, connect, and share their passion with small, appreciative audiences. Diane Blair has been playing both baritone and tenor ukulele since 2020, and she loves sharing music of all kinds with live audiences. She especially enjoys creating a warm sense of connection and joy. Her favorite styles include folk and other acoustic-based genres, and she’s always excited to bring familiar tunes and new favorites to every performance.
Drake Rogers is a skilled guitar, ukulele and harmonica performer who brings warmth and energy to every performance. With a deep love for folk and pop music, Drake creates engaging, crowd-pleasing sets that connect with audiences of all ages. He also performed for many years with the Lu Mitchell group, gaining valuable experience and a strong appreciation for ensemble performance and live entertainment.
Dan Ascenzo’s musical journey began at the piano, where he trained in classical repertoire before moving on to bass guitar and vocals with a Top-40 cover band in the UK during the late 70s and early 80s. After stepping away from music for nearly forty years, an unexpected spark reignited his passion: a ukulele lesson during a Pacific cruise. Since then, Dan has embraced music with renewed joy, finding his voice in swing, folk, and close-harmony singing. Whether performing solo or with others, he is driven by a simple mission—sharing the warmth, connection, and happiness that music brings to people’s lives.
