Pack your sunscreen, hat, lawn chair and fishing gear for this FREE annual youth fishing event for children 16 and under at Josey Ranch Park Pond hosted by the Carrollton's Parks and Recreation department.
Pre-registration is not available for this event.
Registration is on-site only and will begin at 8:30am.

The Josey Ranch Park pond will be generously stocked with adult catfish and the first Saturday in June is designated as a Free Fishing Day by TPWD, so everyone can come out and have fun, no license necessary! Cool prizes and trophies will be awarded to 1st and 2nd longest fish in three age categories. 6 & under, 7-11, and 12-16. It is recommended that children bring their own equipment; however, the Parks department will provide loaner rods, reels, bait, and tackle to those who need them. There will be volunteers on-site to help educate the youth on baiting a hook, casting, and answering any fishing questions.
