How to File a Police Report

If you would like to file a police report with the Carrollton Police Department, there are several different options available.

  • Fill out a non-emergency report online by using the form linked at the bottom of this page.
  • Call the non-emergency number (972-466-3333) to our dispatch center and request an officer come to your location.
  • File a report in person with the front desk officer at the Carrollton Police Department (2025 E. Jackson Road) between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Friday.
  • After Police Department lobby hours, an officer can be called to the Detention Center lobby (2001 Jackson Road next door to the Police Department) to take a report.

*Some reports require affidavits or other legal documentation, or may require that an officer witness the scene or evidence of actual criminal activity. In those cases, you will be advised that the report cannot be taken by phone and of the specific requirements needed to file your case.
