There are many ways to watch a City Council Meeting:

1. In Person
   
   

   City Council meetings are generally held the first and third Tuesday of each month in the City Council Chambers on the second floor of
   
   Carrollton City Hall
   1945 E. Jackson Rd.
   Carrollton, TX 75006  (Map)
   
   Meetings consist of two parts: A Council Worksession typically beginning at 5:45 p.m. with a Regular Session following at 7:00 p.m..

2.  Online
   
   Council meetings are livestreamed during their scheduled time and can be viewed at the bottom of this screen.
   
   Previous meetings can be watched anytime by visiting Meetings Central.
   
   
3. Television 
   
   Carrollton City Council meetings are are aired at 10am and 9pm daily on the following channels:

What is a Council Agenda?

Parts of the Agenda

• Consent Agenda – A group of routine items that can be approved all at once.
  
  
• Resolutions – Decisions or statements made by the Council.
  
  
• Ordinances – New rules or changes to existing City laws.
  
  
• Public Hearings – A time when people can share their opinions on an item on the agenda before the Council makes a decision. Council can only listen, they can't reply back to the speaker. 
  
  
• Other Business – Any other topics the Council needs to discuss.
  
  
• Public Forum – A chance for anyone in the community to speak about City issues.

The Consent Agenda is a list of things that are routine or have already been discussed.

Instead of voting on each item separately, the Council can approve everything in this section with one vote.

• If a Councilmember wants to talk more about something on the consent agenda, they can ask for it to be considered separately.

This process helps the Council save time and focus on bigger decisions.
