Lisa is a graduate of W.T. White High School and attended Brookhaven and El Centro Community Colleges. She is a recipient of the City of Carrollton’s Jimmy Porter Award for dedication and service and was appointed an Admiral in the Texas Navy by Governor Rick Perry.

Lisa works for McKesson Corporation as a Senior Stock Plan Administrator, bringing decades of experience in financial reporting, compliance, auditing, and corporate governance for both public and private companies.  She is a member of the National Association of Stock Plan Professionals.

Lisa Sutter is a lifelong North Texan who has called Carrollton home since 1978. She is a former Carrollton City Councilmember, first elected in 2009 and re-elected in 2012, where she served as Mayor Pro-Tem and Deputy Mayor Pro-Tem, chaired the Budget and Finance Committee and the Judicial Committee, was a member of the Transit Oriented Development Committee and was the liaison to CPAC.

Lisa most recently served on the Board of Managers for Parkland Health Hospital from January 2020 through January 2026, including during the COVID-19 pandemic, helping guide expanded community care and telemedicine initiatives.  She is a Certified Health Care Trustee and was chair of the Talent Development and Executive Compensation Committee, and a member of the Governance Committee and the Budget & Finance Committee.

Lisa has served with the Metrocrest Hospital Authority since 2017, supporting quality healthcare through strong community partnerships.  She is a member of the Finance Committee, the Executive Committee and is a previous member of the Community Grant Program Committee.

Lisa and her husband, John, have been married for 48 years and are proud parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents. Today, Lisa remains deeply involved in the community through her service and these experiences reinforce her commitment to protecting families and investing in their future.
