The Mayor and Council welcome the opportunity to engage with the community by participating in events and recognizing residents, special events, programs, businesses, and others whose contributions make Carrollton the community that families and businesses want to call home.


Choose the Type of Request You Need:

Request Recognition

  • Proclamations – Formal declarations in honor of individuals, groups, or events.

  • Letters of Recognition – Letters of welcome, greeting, or congratulations.

Request Mayor & Council Participation

  • Event Appearance– Request the Mayor or Council to attend a community event.

  • Official Remarks – Request a speech or formal address.

 


Review These Important Guidelines Before Submitting Your Request:


  • Plan Ahead
    To allow time for preparation and scheduling, all requests must be submitted at least 10 business days in advance. A staff member will notify you once your request is approved and ready. Approval is not guaranteed.

  • Local Connection Required
    All requests should have a specific local connection with the City of Carrollton unless the request involves a special significance to the City, region, or state, as determined by the Mayor.

  • Final Approval
    All requests are subject to final approval by the Mayor. The City of Carrollton reserves the right to

    • Edit requests to align with the City’s vision, mission, and goals.

    • Decline any request.
