Due to City facility closures and in light of Governor Greg Abbott’s recent disaster declaration and Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins’ amended public health order requiring individuals anywhere in Dallas County to shelter in place, most of the City’s administrative departments are operating remotely or staffed by those involved directly in the public health response.
As a result, the City is unable to access its records to respond to public information requests at this time. During the period that the notice is posted on the City of Carrollton’s website, the City of Carrollton is not considered open for business for purposes of the time deadlines under the Texas Public Information Act.
New requests will be received on the City’s next open business day, and existing requests will be paused and set back to processing on the City’s next open business day.
- Notice: When submitting an open records request, please check your SPAM folder for responses from the City of Carrollton. If you do not receive confirmation of receipt for an open records request, contact the City Secretary's Office at 972-466-3582.
- Notice: Per Section 552.003(1)(B) of the Government Code, judiciary records are excluded from the Public Information Act.
